For who has despised theĀ day of small things?
(Zechariah 4:10)
Last month we had the privilege of training pastors and spending time with our family in Uganda. We also spent several days praying and planning for our ongoing work in East Africa. As I look back over the years, I remember that first mission team we led to Uganda in 1996. We had a total of six volunteers including my son, Jared, who was twelve years of age at the time. Our small team spent the week sharing the Gospel one-on-one, training a group of pastors, and preaching a revival crusade each night. As a result of that week our lives would be forever changed.
Now 18 years later, I stand amazed at how far the Lord has brought us. Not only have we had the privilege of bringing hundreds of volunteers to minister in Uganda, but we now have one of our own children and his family living here as our full-time missionaries. At the time, our international ministry seemed small and insignificant compared to what so many others were doing. But our Lord reminds us not to despise such small beginnings. He has a plan that may result in thousands of souls hearing the Gospel and being saved.
It is your support, prayers, and friendship that have been such a major part of this small beginning. Please continue to stand with us as we follow the leading of God’s Holy Spirit. He is opening new doors of opportunity before us. I am so grateful for you and all that you do.
