This month we have the great opportunity to travel to Yangon, Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). Burma is located in Southeast Asia and is considered a part of the 10/40 window. Home to nearly 54 million people, only 6% of them are evangelical. 45 million Burmese people have never heard the name of Jesus.
Our hearts are heavy for these people and eager to get started. For several years now, a friend named Ling has been asking us to come partner with him. Ling is a pastor of a growing church in Yangon. They are training leaders, planting churches, caring for orphans and widows, and reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Ling has asked us to come teach a weekend conference for 100 of his pastors and church leaders. We will also spend time connecting with his people and prayerfully building a partnership for future trips. Please pray for us. We depart on November 17 and will return just in time for Thanksgiving.
