Our Visit to the States

By the time you read this newsletter, our family will be back in the United States through October. We’re spending this season reconnecting with family, speaking at partner churches, and raising the support needed for our next season of ministry in Uganda.

If we’re honest, raising support is one of the hardest parts of missionary life. Many people don’t realize the cost of keeping a ministry running day-to-day. Before a single dollar goes toward our family’s food or fuel, our monthly ministry operating costs and local staff salaries total $3,500. None of this goes to us personally—it covers staff salaries, church ministry, and Arise Africa outreach programs.

Beyond ministry expenses, our family has significant needs as well. Our children attend a school specifically for missionary kids, which has been vital to the health and stability of our family. Tuition is $2,000 per semester per child. Our transportation is also at a critical point. Vehicle maintenance in Uganda is a constant challenge, and before leaving for the U.S., our Land Rover broke down beyond repair.

We are now down a vehicle and urgently need a reliable replacement.

These needs are big, but we serve a God who is bigger. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us financially during our time in the States, either through a one-time gift or, even more importantly, by joining our monthly support team?

We would also love to connect with as many of you as possible while we are here! Reach out by email at pastorsmooth@gmail.com, by phone at 540-448-1341, or by WhatsApp at +256- 784-805817.

Thank you for standing with us, praying for us, and making this ministry possible.
