Haiti Moving Day: April 17, 2015

This past February, Keesha and I spent a week in Haiti and had a very productive trip. Our goal was to accomplish as much as we could in one week to prepare for our family’s move. The Lord blessed our efforts and provided the time we needed.

When we arrived, we immediately got to work on finding a house. But with every house we looked at the more we grew discouraged. Either the house was not a safe option for our family or only a portion of the house was for rent.

The used Montero we purchased thanks to so many of you who have supported us!

Before we knew it, our time in Haiti was coming to an end and we still had not found a house. The morning of our flight home, we decided to take one more look at the very first house we saw a week earlier. We walked, prayed, examined, and deliberated. The house was right. The Lord had given us a peace and we decided to move forward. The Lord graciously worked out all of the details. Thank you Jesus!

We have a home!

In addition to finding a home and a vehicle, we had a wonderful time in Haiti meeting our new neighbors and planning for our summer mission teams. We are so excited to see what God is going to do in the lives of our partnering churches (Haitian and American). The indigenous pastors and churches with whom we have built relationships are some of the sweetest people on the planet. They continually ask for our help and encouragement as they strive to reach their villages and communities with the Gospel. There is much work to be done!

Let me thank so many of you for your generous support of Keesha and I. We are incredibly grateful for you. As we prepare to move in a few weeks, we still lack $250 in monthly commitments. I know you are already doing so much for us, but would you consider being our advocate? Would you share this article with someone? Would you share our story? Anything you can do will be a great blessing to us. Above all else, please pray for us. We cannot do this without the Holy Spirit guiding each step we take.
