When conducting medical clinics in places like Uganda, our primary purpose and desire is to point people to Jesus. We want each patient to know that we are bringing them something far more important than simply medicine and treatment. The medicine will only last for a brief time at best. The gospel we bring will last through eternity. We have seen so many spiritual barriers and walls torn down by first meeting the physical needs of the people before presenting the saving message of Jesus Christ. Our secondary purpose in providing free medical clinics is to support the ministry of the indigenous church. There is something incredibly special about locking arms with that church and partnering together, as a global body of believers, to advance the gospel in their community.
Next month, we will lead our annual team of volunteers to serve alongside our church partners in Uganda. We still need $7000 more to purchase the needed medicines and Bibles when we arrive in-country. Would you prayerfully consider a special gift this month? We are so grateful for your support.
